Le Bus MagiqueMagic School bus in French. This is an educational science show, great for all ages but geared for the primary years.

La ou de Dors: These videos follow kids in Francaphone countries as they show their bedrooms and favourite items. After the videos there are interactive simulations where the viewer can click on items in the bedroom to learn more. These videos are geared towards the primary years.

MiniTFO: Educational videos in French Language. Suitable for the primary years.

French with Alexa: Learn French essentials with Alexa's YouTube series.

Disney Junior FR: Disney Jr. videos in French.

Ontario vs. Quebec grade levels

In looking for French resources for older grades you might come across books labelled as  1re secondaire,  2e secondaire,  3e secondaire,  4e secondaire and 5e secondaire. This can be a little confusing if you are not used to how Quebec labels their grades so I put a conversion chart below. Teaching Resources - For English Parents

Are you looking for a community to join for  French for Homeschooling? Check out this Facebook Group. They have a great community for  Resources, Activities and Connections. Are your children going into JK/SK (Jardin/Marternelle)? A great way to teach French at this age is by reading and singing songs. I know, it sounds too easy but really. Trust me. 20 minutes of reading a day + teaching them  songs goes a long way at this age particular age.  Here is a pinterest board with tons of songs and rhymes for children and here is a French singing group for children . French Resource Blog: Day 2 - Lets talk about our options for French learning.

In Ontario, there are 4 options for learning French in government funded schools. We have  Core French, Extended French, French Immersion and Full French. The first 3 of these options is considered French as a Second Language and each of these options provides a different number of hours committed to French learning. If you are homeschooling, teaching French is more flexible. You get to decide how much French to teach and when to teach it. So, how do we, as parents, decide which option is best for us? Well.. if you are like me, we decide after dedicating about a billion hours into researching the topic.
